Repair

Diagnose first. Repair right. Replace only when it's actually time.

We're the team other techs call when they can't figure it out. Most of the time, what looks like a failed system is a single failed part — and we find it.

How we work

A repair visit, the way it should go.

No mystery, no upsell theater. Every repair we run follows the same disciplined diagnostic process — because guessing is what gets homeowners sold systems they don't need.

1. Full Diagnostic

Pressures, superheat, subcooling, electrical loads, static pressure, and (for gas) combustion — measured and recorded with calibrated instruments.

2. Skilled Repair

Capacitors, contactors, blower and condenser motors, control boards, TXVs, refrigerant charge corrections, and leak repair done in-house.

3. Performance Verified

We re-test the full system after every repair — temperature split, amp draws, static pressure — and email you the post-repair report.

What's included in every repair visit

A flat diagnostic fee covers everything below. If you approve a repair the same day, the diagnostic fee is credited toward the work.

  • Comprehensive diagnostic — not a guess
  • Up-front, written pricing before work begins
  • Repair vs. replace conversation, with the math
  • Shoe covers, drop cloths, and a tidy work area
  • Performance test after the repair is complete
  • Plain-English explanation of what we found
  • Photos and readings emailed to you afterward
  • 1-year warranty on parts we install

What we fix

Common problems we solve every week.

If your system is doing one of these things, we've already seen it — probably this morning.

AC blowing warm air

Low refrigerant, failed capacitor, frozen coil, or a stuck contactor — we'll find which one.

Furnace won't ignite

Hot-surface igniter, flame sensor, gas valve, pressure switch, or control board. Diagnosed in one visit.

System tripping breakers

We trace the actual electrical fault instead of just resetting the breaker and hoping.

Water around the air handler

Clogged condensate drain, cracked pan, frozen coil thaw-out, or a failed pump. Cleaned and corrected.

Weak or uneven airflow

Static pressure test, duct inspection, blower diagnostics — not just a new filter and a goodbye.

Thermostat misbehaving

Wiring, calibration, low-voltage transformer, or a control board issue masquerading as a bad stat.

Loud or unusual noises

Failing bearings, loose blower wheels, refrigerant restrictions — every noise tells a story.

Short cycling on/off

Oversized equipment, dirty coil, refrigerant charge, or a control problem. We isolate the cause.

Sky-high power bills

Efficiency diagnostic compares actual performance to spec — and tells you what's draining your wallet.

Repair vs. replace

How we decide — and how you decide.

Most repair calls end with a repair. But when the math points to replacement, we'll show you the numbers and let you make the call.

Repair makes sense when…

  • The system is under ~12 years old and well-maintained.
  • The failed component is discrete and reasonably priced.
  • Refrigerant type is still readily available and economical.
  • The repair restores rated performance, not just operation.

Replacement deserves a conversation when…

  • The compressor or heat exchanger has failed.
  • Repair cost exceeds 40% of a comparable new system.
  • The system is 15+ years old with rising annual repairs.
  • Energy bills are climbing despite a "working" system.

Repair FAQ

Questions homeowners actually ask.

How much does a diagnostic visit cost?+

Our flat diagnostic fee is $98 during normal business hours. If you approve a repair the same day, that fee is credited toward the work.

How fast can you get out here?+

Most non-emergency calls are scheduled within 24 hours. For no-heat or no-cool emergencies in extreme weather, we run a same-day priority list.

Do you work on all brands?+

Yes. Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Rheem, Goodman, American Standard, York, Bryant, Amana, Heil, Daikin, and the rest. We don't sell brand loyalty — we sell working equipment.

Will you push me to replace my system?+

No. Our techs aren't paid on commission. If a repair is the right call, we make the repair. Replacement only enters the conversation when the numbers say it should.

Do you offer a warranty on repairs?+

Every part we install carries a one-year manufacturer's warranty. Many manufacturer parts carry longer warranties — we honor those too.

What if you can't fix it on the first visit?+

If we have to order a part, we order it that day, schedule the return visit at your convenience, and you only pay the diagnostic once.
