Replacement

Replace once. Replace right.

When a system genuinely needs to be replaced, the install is what determines how the next 15 years go. We treat it accordingly.

Why the install matters more than the brand

A premium system, installed poorly, performs like a budget system.

Industry studies consistently show that 70–90% of new HVAC systems are installed with errors that cost the homeowner 20–30% in efficiency from day one. We do the unglamorous, engineering-grade work that keeps your system performing the way the manufacturer designed it to.

Manual J Load Calculation

Room-by-room heat-loss and heat-gain calculation based on your actual home — orientation, insulation, windows, infiltration. Not a rule-of-thumb guess based on square footage.

Ductwork & Airflow Verified

Static pressure tested. Returns sized to spec. Restrictions corrected before the new system gets installed — not after it's already struggling.

Written, Itemized Quote

Good / better / best with every line item explained. No commission games. No 'today-only' pricing pressure. You decide on your timeline.

Our install process

From first visit to final commissioning.

Most replacements happen within 7–10 days of your decision. Emergency replacements are usually next-day.

  1. 1. In-home survey

60–90 minute walk-through. Measurements, photos, and your priorities.

  2. 2. Load calc & design

Manual J and new duct designs expertly reviewed in our office. No shortcuts.

  3. 3. Written proposal

Tiered options, equipment specs, warranty details — emailed to you.

  4. 4. Clean install day

Floors covered. Old system hauled away. Site left cleaner than we found it.

  5. 5. Commissioning

Charge verified, airflow set, thermostat configured, warranty registered.

What we install

Equipment matched to your home — not our margins.

We're a multi-brand dealer because no single manufacturer makes the right system for every home. Here's what we install most often, and when it's the right call.

Heat Pumps

Our default recommendation for most Carolina homes. Modern variable-speed units deliver year-round comfort with lower operating cost than dual-fuel for most of the year.

Central Air + Gas Furnace

Best fit for homes with existing gas service and very cold winter spells. We tune the dual-fuel handoff so you save money in shoulder seasons.

Ductless Mini-Splits

Perfect for additions, bonus rooms, garages, and homes without ductwork. Zone-by-zone comfort with serious efficiency.

Variable-Speed Systems

Inverter-driven compressors run softly, dehumidify better, and hold temperature dead-flat. The comfort upgrade is dramatic.

High-Efficiency Upgrades

16+ SEER2 systems that qualify for federal tax credits, Duke Energy rebates, and lower monthly bills.

IAQ & Filtration Add-Ons

Media filtration, UV, and whole-home dehumidification — engineered into the system, not bolted on as an afterthought.

Replacement FAQ

Straight answers before you spend.

How long does a typical replacement take?+

Most straight swap-outs are a single day. Complex jobs with new ductwork, line set re-routes, or zoning take two — occasionally three. We schedule realistically, not optimistically.

Do I really need a Manual J?+

Yes. Average outdoor air temperatures have increased. Sizing equipment off square footage or just replacing 'what was there' is how homes end up with oversized systems that short cycle, fail to dehumidify, and wear out early.

Which brand do you recommend?+

It depends on your home, your budget, and what you value. We carry strong options at every tier and explain the trade-offs honestly. No one brand is right for every house.

Can I keep my existing thermostat?+

Often, yes — but variable-speed and communicating systems need a compatible thermostat to deliver their advertised performance. We'll tell you up front what your thermostat will and won't do.

What about tax credits and rebates?+

Many systems we install qualify for the federal 25C Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit and Duke Energy rebates.  Our experts design - the savings is yours.

What's the warranty really cover?+

Standard: 10 years parts, 2 years labor on equipment we install. Optional extended labor warranties out to 10 years are available on most equipment lines.
